Linde Ryckeboer
Digital Engineering Lead
#Advancing BIM capabilities
Linde’s career in construction commenced over a decade ago and she has spent the last eight years working full time in BIM/Digital Engineering roles.
Her national and international experience includes large and complex projects such as Kangaroo Point Green Bridge and Barangaroo Metro Station currently being delivered by BESIX Watpac, as well as Macquarie University Central Courtyard, Lendlease CQT and several data centres.
However, it was her role as BIM Coordinator on the new NATO Headquarters in Belgium where she realised how the role of BIM and its technology could truly influence a project.
It is this passion and experience that Linde now brings to the BESIX Watpac team.
Construction runs in the family for Linde. She got a taste for the industry from her grandfather, who worked with some of the great Belgian architects in his time.
“Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always loved figuring out how things work, tinkering and building all sorts of stuff around the house, so engineering seemed the obvious path.”
“I cannot imagine not being passionate about what I do. Working with industry leaders and field experts has always given me great inspiration and energy boosts, so that’s what I aim to bring to my co-workers as well."
![“I’m very eager to uplift our overall BIM capabilities and, in time, make it a default part of our projects and processes, from BIM Coordination and Virtual Walkthroughs to WHS initiatives and cost tracking. This will make our projects even more efficient, transparent and accessible for our clients, project partners and employees.”](/generated/1024w-3-2/photo-original-linde-ryckeboer-01-resized-1652930176.jpg?1652930189)
