Barry Whewell

Barry has over 25-years of construction industry experience, strong communication, project management and business development skills. Over the last ten years, Barry has held key senior positions within the company and has been instrumental in developing BESIX Watpac's capacity for special projects and health. As General Manager – Operations, Barry works closely with our General Managers and Sector Leads to identify and capitalise on new project opportunities.

His expertise across all regions and sectors that BESIX Watpac operates in has helped the company secure key projects for the company including the $405m Herston Quarter PPP, $135m Casey Hospital Expansion and the Hornsby Hospital Redevelopment. Barry is a Green Star Accredited Professional, a trained Electrical and Electronic Engineer and has worked for some of Australia's largest construction companies.
