#Overview
The National Cricket Centre builds upon the existing world-class outdoor facilities in Albion, including the Allan Border Field to which it sits adjacent. The new four-storey complex features a gymnasium, indoor practice wickets, synthetic turf, a 25 metre indoor hydrotherapy pool, sports science facilities (injury rehabilitation, sports medicine), commercial space and basement parking. This facility includes a state-of-the-art athlete development centre which integrates science, technology and coaching, utilising new technology such as virtual reality tools for decision making and biomechanical equipment for technique analysis, research and skill development. The existing Queensland Cricket building remained fully operational during construction, which required stakeholder engagement and communication to ensure minimal impact.
