Refreshing and refurbishing the Nambour General Hospital
Nambour General Hospital New Ward Block and Refurbishment
#Overview
This project was part of the Sunshine Coast and Cooloola Health Service District’s Demand Management Strategy established by Queensland Health to meet the increasing need for health services in the region. We delivered a new 96 bed ward block three months ahead of schedule, and the refurbishment of the existing Blocks 1, 2A, 2B and 7. The existing Block 3 was demolished to enable the construction of the new ward block, including links into existing Block 2, entrance road works and landscaping. Other works included constructing a new internal access road with associated landscaping and infrastructure, a new waste management area and relocation of the existing solar collectors for hot water generation.
