The first of its kind in South East Queensland, the 11 hectare facility plays a crucial role in boosting Australia’s national defence capability.
Forming part of the LAND 400 Phase 2 project, the MILVEHCOE enables Rheinmetall Defence Australia to produce and maintain many of the 211 Boxer 8x8 Combat Reconnaissance Vehicles for the Australian Army.
More than a production facility, highly specialised and unique elements include an outdoor vehicle test track, electromagnetic compatibility chamber, and a fully enclosed weapons test firing range.
