The five-storey building will utilise environmentally sustainable Glued Laminated Timber (Glulam) and Cross Laminated Timber products with the timber structure playing a major role in the building’s aesthetic appeal and high level of quality and finish.
Kirk and BESIX Watpac have previously joined forces to deliver the University of Queensland’s Advanced Engineering Building which also utilised timber products.

“BESIX Watpac is excited to partner with NIOA and Kirk to deliver this innovative superior quality project within a sensitive secure operational environment,” Drew said.
