Collaborative Partnerships
The unrivalled stadium expertise we brought to the project proved invaluable in delivering this complex stadium. Collaboration with a local seismic engineering specialists ensured the stadium was built to withstand Christchurch's seismic activity not only on completion, but also during construction.
Engineering Value
In collaboration with the consortium, BESIX Watpac’s Engineering Solutions team tackled the challenge of building a highly complex stadium in a region prone to seismic activity. The fully enclosed roof with a clear span required meticulous engineering to meet structural stability requirements. The team focused on studying and optimising temporary works to ensure feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to the project timeline.
