Purpose-built student accommodation

The purpose-built 13 level building offers Melbourne students with a variety of accommodation options including 393 basic rooms with shared bathroom facilities as well as 186 rooms with en-suites. The accommodation also provides accessible rooms for mobility, vision and hearing-impaired students. Using a tried and tested methodology from a nearby student accommodation delivered by BESIX Watpac, we procured prefabricated bathroom pods for most of the bathrooms. This methodology provided time, cost and quality benefits to the client. Student amenities include meeting lounges, a sky lounge, shared kitchens and dining spaces, laundry space, and a sports lounge and gymnasium. We also refurbished a heritage-listed Art Deco clinker-brick façade building into the development.
