Australian-first regional education facility

A pioneering development for Australia’s regional healthcare industry, the facility allows undergraduates to complete their full six-year medical degree without having to relocate to a capital city. Located adjacent to the Port Macquarie Base Hospital, this collaborative, federally funded project brings together the three institutions of the University of NSW, University of Newcastle and North Coast Institute of TAFE. The two-storey campus features an academic wing, theatre wing, lecture theatres, laboratories, courtyard, student social areas, Simulated Learning Environment, kiosk and café and a 50 kilowatt solar power system. Our outstanding level of delivery at the Port Macquarie Base Hospital project was instrumental in winning the tender for this important facility including close engagement with our client.
