Rebuilding Teys Rockhampton after Cyclone Marcia

As a result of damage caused by Cyclone Marcia in February 2015, BESIX Watpac conducted urgent remediation works to maintain normal production at the Teys Meat Rockhampton facility. Further works began two years later to install a new amenities building, dry store, workshop, and compressor building, as well as associated works. These included the demolition of several large existing buildings and extensive landscaping, the construction of new external hardstand and roadway work, and the complete refurbishment of the main office. With these potentially disruptive works taking place while the existing facility was operational, BESIX Watpac worked closely with Teys to ensure services continued without interruption.
