Martin Monro

Martin became a Non-Executive Director of BESIX Watpac in 2019, after seven years as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the Australian and international construction sectors, with a proven track record in prudent financial management, safety leadership and successful expansion into new markets. Martin is also a Non-Executive director of Fleetwood Australia and a specialist Workplace Relations Advisor to the Board of the Australian Constructors Association. In addition, Martin is a Director of the construction industry suicide prevention charity, Mates in Construction, a voluntary position he has held since 2017. He is the former National Vice President for the Australian Industry Group, a member of the Royal Melbourne Showgrounds Unincorporated Joint Venture Board, and the Chair of the Moits Advisory Board.

Martin has formal qualifications in Psychology and Human Resources Management, is a graduate of the Accelerated Development Program at the London Business School, a Graduate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Building.
