The largest of the four global Guggenheim museums, this spectacular building will comprise steel, concrete, wood and aluminium. Sustainable elements are incorporated into the design such as natural cooling and ventilation of the covered courtyards, which have been inspired by traditional Middle Eastern wind towers. Asymmetrical cones surrounding the main building and serve as both museum entrances and outdoor exhibition spaces. Designed by award-winning architect Frank Gehry, it will be delivered as a joint venture between BESIX and Trojan General Contracting LLC including all construction work apart from the foundations, which are already complete. This project will demonstrate the technical capability of our in-house engineering team to optimise planning, methods and procurement.
