Woolworths nears completion with major milestones achieved

Significant progress has also been achieved across the external works package with all landscaping now complete. A major operational milestone has been reached with the successful commissioning of the facility's refrigeration system. Temperature drawdown activities are scheduled to commence next month, bringing the project another step closer to operational readiness.

The project team has maintained strong program performance throughout delivery, successfully achieving all project milestones to date. In addition, the seamless integration of client workstreams has enabled the successful installation and coordination of automation systems, specialist racking infrastructure and dedicated banana ripening rooms.

By the Numbers

The scale and complexity of the project are reflected in a number of significant achievements:

• More than 1.3 million project hours worked.
• Zero Lost Time Injuries (LTIs) recorded throughout the project.
• Over 3,600 people inducted onto site.
• More than 11,000 Polyisocyanurate (PIR) panels installed across the facility.
• 64,877m³ of concrete poured.
• FM2 concrete finish achieved across both slab-on-ground and suspended slab areas.
• 4.3% First Nations engagement achieved, representing $12.8 million in direct and indirect participation.

As the project approaches completion, these achievements highlight the scale of the development and the strong focus on safety, quality and collaboration that has underpinned its delivery.
