Katie O’Malley

Katie joined BESIX Watpac in 2021 as Group Corporate Affairs Manager and is focused on leading a team of marketing, communication, Indigenous affairs, workforce development and training specialists to support business strategy and drive growth.

With a background in design, media and publishing, Katie transitioned into the industrial sector and has over a decade of experience. Most recently Katie was the Director Group Marketing and Communications at global engineering consultancy firms Surbana Jurong Group and SMEC Group. She was also a Director on the SMEC Foundation Board providing grant support to global development projects, communities and charities.

Katie has a degree in Visual Communication and Design from Victoria University in New Zealand, a Post Graduate Certificate in Marketing from Griffith University, a Diploma of Management and Marketing with the Australian Institute of Management and has completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors Foundation Course.
